Joanne Lynne Morris

Joanne Lynne Morris Davis died December 19, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was born in Marietta, Ohio and raised seasonally between there and Fort Lauderdale. She attended both Pine Crest School and school in Ohio, graduating from Marietta High School. Joanne earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Library Science from Marietta College and Florida State University. She was a middle and high school Media Specialist for Broward County Schools for 36 years.

Joanne Davis was a member of BCREA, (Broward County Retired Educators Association), BTU (Broward Teachers' Union), an active member of Fontenada DAR, and former member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also an avid bridge player. Joanne attended Calvary Chapel for the past 15 years and before that the First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale.

Joanne Davis was preceded in death by her parents, George and Florence Morris, along with her siblings David Morris and Susan Kehl. Surviving family members are children, Diana Davis of Venice, FL; Joe Davis of Fort Lauderdale, FL; grandsons Christopher and Thomas Chung both living in FL; 5 great- grandchildren and 2 nephews, Jim Berry and Andrew Kehl; sister in law Marge Morris of Oklahoma . Joanne has blessed the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale 33316. www.fredhunters.com. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:30 am at Calvary Chapel, 2401 West Cypress Creek Road, Fort Lauderdale 33309 with a reception to follow at Joanne's residence.
