

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Joseph Martinez on July 12, 2023, a strong, hardworking father who touched the lives of many throughout his 64 years on this Earth.
John's journey began on February 11, 1959, in Vineland, New Jersey where he was born. From an early age, he displayed a resilient spirit that would guide him throughout his life. As the oldest son in the family, he embraced his responsibilities with dedication and love, setting an example for his younger siblings.
John joined the Marines, where he learned the values of discipline and camaraderie. After his service, he moved to Florida in the 1980s, and this coastal state became a significant part of his life's journey. John had a passion for fishing that knew no bounds. The peaceful hours spent casting lines and embracing the beauty of nature brought him immense joy and tranquility.
John's work provided him with numerous opportunities to explore different parts of the United States, and along the way, he forged strong bonds with lifelong friends. His charismatic personality, integrity, and dedication to his work endeared him to those he encountered throughout his professional journey.
The pain of loss was not foreign to John, as he was preceded in death by his beloved son Tyler, his dear mother Anna Margarita, and his loving sisters Lillian and Marivel.
John leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his father, John Sr. His brother David and sister Doris. His cherished sons John, Brandon and Michael.
With John's passing, we mourn the loss of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many. His sense of humor, work ethic, and love for fishing will forever be etched in our hearts.
To honor John, a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 28th 3:00pm at Fred Hunters Funeral Home in Davie, Fl, all who knew him are warmly invited to attend.
