With deep sadness but overflowing hearts for the time we shared, we say not goodbye, but see you again soon, to John Anthony Mohamed — loving husband, loyal son and brother, dear friend, and unforgettable presence in so many lives. He was gifted into the world on July 17th, 1999. He passed away on the 10-year anniversary of him and his wife being together, June 11th, 2025, at the age of 25.
John Anthony Mohamed was the devoted husband of Jaimee Pappas — her rock, her best friend, and the love of her life. Their bond will remain special, a love built on quiet strength, laughter, shared dreams, and a whole lot of grace. Their little family consisted of their three beloved cats, Sushi, Luna, and Link. They walked through life hand in hand, through every battle and every season, and now he walks ahead — but only just a little.
He had a way of making people feel seen, of showing up when it mattered, of offering a steady shoulder and a listening ear. He was a man of faith — not loud or showy, but deep and real. He trusted in something greater, and we take great comfort knowing he’s now wrapped in peace and light, held in the arms of God.
He always wore his favorite tracksuits without failure — no matter the circumstance. He loved telling jokes and making everyone around him laugh, playing his favorite video games with his closest friends and family, working on cars with his dad, safely speeding in his new car of the year, traveling the world and eating its delicious food with his family, appreciating art, and listening to his favorite music. But more than anything, he loved his people.
We’ll miss him every single day — his smile, his quiet wisdom, his way of making us feel like everything was going to be okay. But we know he’s still with us in spirit, closer than we can see. And we trust that this goodbye is not the end, just a pause, until we meet again.
A gathering to celebrate John’s life will be held on Thursday June 19th, 11:00am at 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024 — arranged by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home. All who were close to him and knew his heart are welcome to come, share stories, laugh, cry, and honor the beautiful soul we were so blessed to know.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to do something kind in his memory, simply take a walk and say a prayer, tell him a joke, or donate to a cause close to his heart, homelessness.
He was deeply loved. He still is, and he forever will be.
