Powell, John Casey, 40, born July 1, 1970, passed away on December 14, 2010. Casey attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He later formed a partnership with Ken Walker to go into the business Kitchens to Go which they operated together for many years. He was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan and participant in a Fantasy Football league. He was a fan of rock music and enjoyed going to concerts and playing his guitar. He loved spending time in the Keys and especially when the family all went down for the mini-lobster season. Casey is survived by his parents, Bob and Ann Powell, his twin sister, Kaki Gambardella and her husband Steve, his brother R.O. Powell and his wife Dorothy and his nephews Bo, Rogan, Steven and Gavin. Casey will be greatly missed by his family and special friends Ken, Jerry and Mike. A gathering of friends will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 18, with a Celebration of Life service at 2:30 p.m. at Fred Hunters Funeral Home at 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale.
