Jose Cristobal Quijano

Jose Cristobal Quijano, 65, of Hollywood, Florida passed away on March 7, 2023, in Hollywood, Florida.Viewing will be 9:00 am, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood. Funeral services will be at the same location, at 11:00 am.Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens-East. 

Jose Cristobal Quijano was born in Progreso, Mexico to Leyla and Gonzalo Quiano on April 26, 1957. He attended and graduated from South Broward High School in Hollywood, Florida. Here he made lifelong friends and broke school sports records. He married Lois Wiebe in North Newton, Kansaswhere he also attended Bethel College and continued his football career.Cris and Lois resided in Hollywood, Florida and on December 13, 1980,celebrated the birth of their daughter Angela Dominga Quijano. He enjoyeda career in driving and worked as a mammography unit driver for Jackson Memorial Hospital for several years until time of retirement, where he was also honored as outstanding employee. He was involved in coaching and playing football as well as other sports, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. His most loved and enjoyed times were with family and friends who hold him dear to their hearts. Jose Cristobal Quijano was a loving son, brother, and father.

Jose Cristobal Quijano is preceded in death by Gonzalo Augustine Quijano Aguilar.

Jose Cristobal Quijano is survived by his mother, Leyla Quijano, daughter, Angela Quijano, sister, Frine Quijano and his nephew, James Hoiland.
