

In Loving Memory of Jose Santiago Soto
Jose Santiago Soto, a proud Army Vietnam veteran, was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on April 14, 1940 (officially recorded as April 21, 1940). He passed away peacefully at home in Florida, surrounded by his loving family, on September 6, 2025.
Affectionately known as Che, Chago, Papa, Santiago, Dad and Josecito. Jose was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-arms, and friend. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, strength, humor and deepening love. His legacy of service, resilience, and generosity will live on through all who knew him.
Jose is survived by many cherished family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory and carry forward his spirit. Jose’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support received during this time.
