

Joe was born in Milwaukee, WI to Judith (Pellegrini Murphy of Waukesha, WI; and Philip Murphy of Charleston, SC on November 9, 1962. He went to school at Western Albemarle High School. He graduated from Piedmont Virginia Community College. He worked as a Realtor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in Ft. Lauderdale since 2005. He was President of the Board of Trustees for Runaway Bay Condo Association for 20 years. He received many sales awards over his 30 plus years as a realtor.
Joe is preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, Uncle James, and Aunt Joan.
Joe is survived by mother Judith, and father Philip (wife Babs), as well as brother Marc (wife Polly, nephews Aidan & Jared), brother Michaeljon (wife Kristi, nephews Eric, Hristiyan, Jason (wife Lara), niece Rachel), bother Tim (wife Julie, nephew Samuel, niece Grace, nephew Charlie) and brother Patrick (wife Kate, niece Sophia, nephew Lucian), as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Joe Murphy has been named to the prestigious Honor Society for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. This award recognizes Joe as a sales professional in the top 16% of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network agents nationwide.
In 2021, Joe was named to the prestigious Leading Edge Society. This award recognizes Joe as a sales professional in the top 10% of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices network agents nationwide.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 PM on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Bonnet House at 900 North Birch Road in Fort Lauderdale. A private celebration will be held at a later date for the family in Waukesha, WI.
