He was born in Berbice, Guyana on June 18, 1943 to parents Mildred Ross and Baba Paraboo.
Joseph is survived by his three children Amanda Click, Karen Paraboo and Ziad Raufman, his former wife Zobena Van Dyne, his sister Hermine Rachpaul, his brother Ronald Ross and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close family friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elaine Stuart and Baby Henry.
