

Judy Winslow, a life long area resident of Hollywood, passed away on July 10th at Memorial Hospital on Johnson St. Judy was 67 years old born May 12, 1946. Daughter of the late Gene Janas who prcised her in the late 1970"s. Judy also had a twin sister Jeane Burford who died in January 15, 2011.Judy was born in New York and as a child moved to Hollywood. Judy attended South Broward High School and went on to become a licensed nurse. Judy worked for Doctor's Hospital, as well as a nurse for private patients.
Judy devoting most of her time to the elderly and patients of special needs. Judy would always give her own special care and go beyond what was expected and required. The patients were always her first love and they had the highest regard for her tender and gentle medical treatment. Home Health Care is where Judy felt her skills as a highly trained nurse really made a difference. For many years Judy cared for those who were not able to care for themselves, working long and tireless hours putting smiles and laughter on her patients faces.
Judy also had a love for animals, and she worked at the Hollywood Animal Hospital giving the same love and devotion to all injured and sick pets. Her animals were many cats and dogs alike. In her home there are pictures of all that had passed and gone to a bigger and better playground. Walls are a shrine to her German Sheppard "Cochise who passed away in 1983 and some his lifelong buddies Bobo, Fluffy, Sochi. Tiger, Precious and Dusty.
Judy was a 15 year member of the Hallandale Moose Lodge, where she could be found at anytime helping with a variety of functions and events. A special place in her heart was her fellow men and woman of the Moose Lodge. Where bonds of serving others continued like her nursing before, she devoted hours and hours making others happy.
Judy Survivors include her first husband Mike Winslow their Daughter Theresa Winslow of Hallandale,, Second husband Shep Weinstein (Deceased 1997) their Daughter Jodi Weinstein of Hollywood, Daughter Judy Wilson of Kinsley Kansas, Grandchildren Heather Pearce of Pembroke Pines, Bianca Perez of Jacksonville and her husband Patrick Cherry, Shawn Pearce of Hollywood Great Grand daughters Alyssia Perez of Hollywood, Isabella Perez-Cherry of Jacksonville, Great Grandson Anthony Simpson of Hollywood. Hunter Fisch of Florence, KY , Braden Connor Fisch of Florence, KY Caleb Jackson Fisch of Florence, KY ,Grand Daughters Moni Valentine of Kansas City, MO , Chelsea Fisch of Florence, KY.
Judy's life long service and devotion to her family, friends and colleagues will surly continue. In the helping hands of the Moose Lodge, and legacy of her family she will be missed and loved forever. We love you Mom, OMI.
