Julio Baquero

Julio was born in Los Angeles, CA to Julio Baquero & Mercedez Canizalez on February 26th, 1984.  He studied automotive mechanics at Sheridan Technical College in Hollywood, FL. He chose to spend his life in partnership with Amy Ruiz and together they made a beautiful family with two sons and one daughter. Julio has had different lines of work; He spent years traveling the world as a subcontractor for cruise ships, working on and managing large scale repair jobs for the ships. He made the selfless decision to be more present at home to raise his family so he began his venture as a stair builder and would construct as well as install in new homes. The most recent line of work he chose was to drive for Uber. He became a driver because he could make his own hours and he could invest his personal time embracing his favorite past time, which was coaching baseball. Julio coached baseball with the youth of the City of Hollywood for over 15 years. He loved to be at the field, whether it was to coach, watch both of his sons play or just feel the love of the game; Julio was there for all of it with his family. The love for baseball represented a piece of him, his family represents his heart, being and soul.  

Julio is survived by the love of his life Amy Ruiz, his children: Julio Cesar Baquero, III, Aliyah Rebekah Baquero and Darian Alijah Baquero, His brothers: Bayron and Julmer Baquero and his parents: Julio Baquero & Mercedes Canizalez

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday June 28th, 2024 at 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.

The family of Julio wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all the friends and family for the incredible support, love and prayers. To have such an amazing collection of wonderful, caring individuals helping during this immensely difficult time was truly a blessing and Julio would be amazed by all of you and the unwavering contributions from everyone. 

The family would like for the children to receive any donations in lieu of flowers at this time.
