June was born in Spanishtown, Jamaica, West Indies on December 30th and was married to Byron Russell, a former United States Marine, for 34 years.
June worked as a registered nurse after moving to the United States. A devout Roman Catholic, her unwavering faith sustained her throughout her life. She was a protector, confidant and friend whose tireless efforts and unwavering service has inspired her children and grandchildren.
June is preceded in death by her husband Byron and is survived by her three daughters, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M on Saturday, June 18, 2018 at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024. The funeral service and burial will immediately follow at the same location. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter Funeral Home.
