My mother could have been a Hollywood movie star, or a standup comedian, or a history professor, but she was much more than that. She was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of so many people. She will always be remembered for her beauty, generosity, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor. I will think of her with every Frank Sinatra song I hear. I will be reminded of her whenever I smell lilacs or lily of the valley. I will reminisce whenever I hold a cat. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life, but I will smile with every precious memory and be thankful that she was mother.

I am deeply sorry my dear Inca princess sister. My heart is with you because I know exactly and in real time how you must feel. God wanted to have your lovely mother with Him now. I know it will always seem like it was too soon, but we have to accept it and know that the best way to honor her is to think what she would have wanted for you and that is your happiness. May God give us the strength to accept it and get us soon to the point where we can rejoice in their loves and memories. Love you!

I was so lucky to have Laura Hacker as my mother-in-law for 30 years, she insisted I call her MaMa # 2, and she called me Daughter # 2, or "My Brenda".  We first met when she lived in Rhode Island and one of my favorite memories was when I installed a shower for her so she no longer had to sit in a bath tub, she could now take showers.  After I transferred with the U.S. Coast Guard from Boston to Florida, my ex and I bought a house and immediately started plans for her to join us after she retired from Coca-Cola.  We found such the place for her in Sunrise Lakes.  After 3 months of my ex and I gutting it out it is finally ready for her arrival.  When she walked in and saw how beautiful her new home was she dropped to her knees and expressed such appreciation.  How happy she was to be in the Sunshine State and retired, spending days at the pool, meeting new friends and enjoying her new life.  She showed me so much love and we spent many holidays, vacations and laughter together.  
When I worked on cruise ships and was gone 5 months at a time, she would faithfully write to me and send me presents and she never missed my birthday.  She loved to send cards and write letters, as well as read her books.  I have so many wonderful memories of her life and so glad I was part of it for so long, I love her just as mych as I did 30 years ago.  She truly will be missed; her elegance, her stunning beauty, her sense of humor and generosity.  She is irreplaceable.  Love you forever...Your Brenda

Hello Margo, please accept my sympathy on the passing of your mother. I was fortunate enough to meet Laura a couple years ago and I am saddened by her passing,  she was a great woman and I miss her dearly.  I looked forward to her on a Wednesday morning as she got her hair done weekly at our Salon. Everyone loved Laura and was shocked to learn about her passing. Laura Hacker may your should rest in eternal peace,  you are missed by the staff of the M Salon and Spa in Sunrise.

Such a beautiful person, inside and out, an extra grandma to my children, and an extra Mother to me. I'm saddened beyond belief. She was a strong woman. I thought she'd live to 100. Sympathies to all.

I loved your mother so very much. Working with her at Coca Cola back in the day was such a blessing.  I was so young , but she treated me so kindly.  This news of her passing makes me so very sad.  I’m so glad you have such precious memories of her. Cling to those memories and you will smile .
