Lillian was born in Montreal, Canada, on June 23, 1933, to George and Bertha Himbeault. She married Guy Amyot on July 16, 1952, in Montreal, and together they moved to Florida in 1967. Lillian worked as a secretary in the insurance industry until her retirement. She and Guy were avid bowlers, participating in a league every week, and they cherished weekends spent playing cards with friends. When grandchildren arrived, their focus and dedication shifted entirely to family.
A hardworking woman with a deep love for country music, Lillian’s favorite artist was Charley Pride. Even in her later years, as her memory faded, she found joy in watching his concerts on YouTube and singing along.
Lillian was fiercely proud of her daughter and later, her grandchildren. A true patriot, she loved singing patriotic songs and followed politics closely, tuning in to her favorite news channel daily.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy Amyot, her parents, George and Bertha Himbeault, and her four siblings.
Lillian is survived by her devoted daughter, Johane Morales, and her husband, Richard Morales; her cherished grandchildren, Daniel Fine, Jaclyn Aiken and her husband, Benjamin Aiken, and Hunter Morales; as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Norah Lillian Aiken.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Petrinea Mattis, owner and director of the Coral Springs ALF, where Lillian resided for nearly six years, and to her dedicated caregiver, Davida, who cared for her with love and compassion for the past three years. Their unwavering support and kindness provided Lillian’s family with peace of mind, knowing she was always in safe and caring hands. Special thanks also go to Trustbridge Hospice for treating her with dignity and comfort in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation in Lillian’s memory.
