

Born in Suriname, South America on February 9, 1916, daughter of Liew A. Jong and Lo A. Kauw. She was raised in Suriname and migrated to Kingston, Jamaica in 1930 and to the United States in 1978.
Po loved cooking her own food and cooking for her family. She was still cooking at age 98. Po also loved eating food with her family.
Survived by two daughters, Kathleen Young (Alphonso) Lee, Joan Sue-Pat (George) McDoom, two sons, Dennis (Mavis) Young and Altamont Young, daughter-in-law, Audrey Young, her adored grandchildren, Jackie (Patrick) Peeters, Troy (Tamara) Lee, Karen (Tony) Yapp, Jerome (Sandra) Young, Natalie (John) Lyn, Terence (Jamee) Young, Winston (Coleen) McDoom. Also survived by great grandchildren, William Peeters, Rachael, Ethan and Kathryn Lee, Krista, Alec, Logan Yapp, Zachary, Summer, Skylar and Jordan (Louisa) Young, Ian and Alyssa McDoom, Kayla Lyn, Taryn,Taylor Young and one great-great grandchild, Ayla Young. She was preceded in death by her son, Allan Young and husband William Issac Young.
Visitation on Monday, November 20th from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, November 21st at 10:00 A.M. at Nativity Catholic Church, Johnson Street, Hollywood, Florida. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
