Chepe is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Amparo Hidalgo, his four sons, Wiliberto, Jose Francisco, Henny, and Onel, and countless other family members.
He was born in Tenares, Dominican Republic in 1937 where he attended school before eventually joining the Dominican Navy for eight years. He married Amparo in 1966 and moved to New York the following year where they would establish their roots.
Chepe was a man of simple pleasures. He treasured spending time with family, taking daily morning walks, and listening to music on his patio while chatting with neighbors. He loved watching baseball games of any team with Dominican players, going on family trips, and eating the occasional sweet treat. But his family was always his number one priority until the very end.
Please join the Hidalgo family from 11 am to 3 pm for viewing services and ceremony at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens North. A reception will be held from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024 for friends, family and loved ones.
