Luis A. Ramirez, born on June 5, 1944, in the Dominican Republic, passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 79, in Hollywood, Florida. Luis was known for his loving, funny, and friendly nature.
In his career, Luis worked at Park Lane Hotel and was a dedicated bodega owner. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding his bike, listening to his little radio, taking daily walks around the neighborhood and Publix, watching YouTube videos, and indulging in his daily nap. He was also known for selling avocados during the season.
Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Candida Ramirez, his children Josephine Nunez, William Ramirez, Lynette Irizarry, and Jennifer Puello, as well as his grandchildren Robert Taveras, Brandon Taveras, Mia Irizarry, Emma Ramirez, and his great-grandchildren Memphis Katherine Taveras and Macie Jane Taveras.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Nativity Catholic Church on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
