Up until the end, Lynne maintained her sense of humor, extreme will to live, and love of family and friends.
Lynne was an incredibly proud RN, beautiful sister, loving aunt, and amazing best friend; but she truly lived every second of her joyous life for her kids and her grandkids.
She loved to share stories of her high school memories at Miami Edison Senior High, and with her nursing school friends at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she worked for 30 years! She also gave birth to her three, best friends there.
Lynne was the mom everyone wished they had; she supported David, Steven, and Nikki to no end. She enjoyed volunteering with the band and babysitting her beautiful grandkids: Adam, Shawn, Priscilla, Preston, Abby Lyn and Sami. Her Granny pride radiated through her, and anyone she met quickly knew her talented grandkids by name.
She was a beautiful woman with nine lives who refused to give up, even in her last moments.
For many, many years, her body ailed her but she still loved life. Even in her diminished state, she quickly made friends in her nursing home and loved her nurses (Carol), doctors (Jill), and especially her nurse’s aides—Dionne and Millie—who treated her like a queen.
Lynne’s house was always immaculate and she took pride in having a beautiful and inviting living space to cook delicious, home- cooked meals. Just kidding; her family ate out every single night. She was no Gordon Ramsay.
Until she lost the ability to walk, Lynne loved shopping and attending her grandkids concerts/shows. Every year, she looked forward to spending Christmas with her family and expected a lot of gifts for her birthday.
Lynne was a fighter. She was stubborn, needy, and wanted everything her way. But most of all, she was the most beautiful mom anyone could ever ask for. Heaven gained a true angel. And our only peace is knowing that our mom/granny is now eating endless Burger King Whoppers, McDonald’s Hot Fudge Sundaes, and then washing it all down with a Diet Coke. And of course, sharing it with Nana and Pop Pop.
*In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Beachside Montessori Village Theatrical Guild.
Lynne lived to see her grandkids perform.
