Michael Anthony O’Donnell of Ft Lauderdale Florida, formerly of Indianapolis Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 after a long illness although he remained active til the end. He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Patty) Trout, nephews Tim (Michelle) and Joe (Leeann) Trout, niece Susie (Bruce) Trout, 7 great nieces & nephews & 6 great great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Edward F and his mother N. Ruth O’Donnell and great nephew Casey Trout.
Born in Indianapolis, Michael attended Cathedral & North Central High Schools before entering the Army, 82nd Airborne until 1969 whereupon he returned to Ft Lauderdale and participated in several successful businesses until real estate development in Ft Lauderdale and Rockford, Illinois became his main focus for years.
Michael was a devotee of the Frank Sinatra style of life, doing it his way with his greatest devotions being to his grandmother, Jessie Norman Tuttle and namesake St Anthony.
‘The Gambler’ was his favorite song and he lived it. We will miss him!
