Miriam was a loving mother, wife, grandma, great grandma and friend. “Pal” was her common nickname to many friends and family as her sweet, softhearted nature never dimmed.
Service to others was Miriam’s calling. A veteran of the United States Air Force, she served during the Korean War, during which she met our father Anthony. They went on to celebrate 65 years of marriage until his peaceful passing in 2019.
Back home, Miriam continued service in the role of a Eucharistic minister with St. Boniface Catholic Church in Pembroke Pines. Her devotion, faith in God and love for the church was unwavering.
Mom was a full-time caregiver to our sister Nancy throughout her life and also our father as his health declined, and no greater caregiver there was! We will truly miss you and love you so very much. Thank you for all you have done and for your unconditional love for us.
Miriam is survived by her son Tony Remige, daughter-in-law Jan, daughter Sue Courtney, son-in-law Jeff, four grandchildren, Cristina, Stephanie, Jeffry & Christopher and four great-grandchildren, Layla, Jacob, Addison & Braxton. Miriam is also survived by her sister Diane Chenelle and brother Robert Hannaford.
Predeceased by her husband Anthony, daughter Nancy, Mother Florence, and brothers George, Bob, Al & Dave.
We will miss you and keep you forever in our hearts.
