Monica was born on December 6, 1942, in Luleå, Sweden. As a child, she immigrated to the United States alongside her father and brother, beginning a new chapter filled with hope and opportunity. On May 18, 1963, she married her beloved husband, Jacques, and together they built a home rich in family, laughter, and shared adventures.
Monica was a devoted and loving mother whose greatest joy came from her family. Known as the life of the party, she had an infectious energy that drew people to her. She loved to dance, proudly twirled a baton during her high school years, and cherished time spent fishing on their boat with her husband, Jacques.
Throughout her life, Monica worked in roles that reflected both her intelligence and compassion. At National Airlines, she helped develop the pilot training manual, contributing to the safety and success of countless flights. Later in her career, she worked in telephone sales at Jodee’s, where she offered comfort, guidance, and support to women navigating breast cancer recovery.
Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Minnie. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jacques; her sons, Christopher (TinaMarie) and Jack (Lisa); her brothers, Ulf (Melinda) and Larry (Shirley); and her cherished granddaughters, Rachel and Kaitlyn. Her warmth, laughter, and loving presence will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
