Myrtle Rose Fletcher

Sister Rose was born in Mandeville Jamaica to Fedrick and Lillian Miller on August 20, 1945. She attended Kendal All Age and later graduated from the Rose Leon Beauty School where she studied cosmetology.

She later owned and operated Rose Beauty Salon for years. She began traveling to Panama, Curaçao, Haiti and Grand Cayman where she engaged in what Jamaicans refer to as “buying and selling” where she bought clothing in these islands and sold them back in Jamaica. This became a very profitable business venture for her.

She migrated to the United States in 1984, where she met and married Donald Fletcher (deceased) in 1985. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Rego Park Nursing Home in New York, before relocating to Florida where she continued to work as a CNA at Holy Cross Hospital and Memorial Regional Hospital.

She was very passionate about helping others, and even after retirement, she continued to work privately up until a year ago.

She was extremely active in her Church serving as an Usher and in the Women’s Ministry.

Sister Rose is preceded in death by Parents Fedrick and Lillian Fletcher and Husband Donald Fletcher.

She is survived by three children Cherry, Sherine Cecile. Seven Grandchildren, Marshanette, Robert, Roche, Rochelle, Roshawn, Chrystal and Shynelle and Five Great Grand Children.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 10am on Saturday May 2, 2026, at Triumphant Church of Jesus Christ, 7000 Pembroke Road Miramar Fl 33023. Funeral Arrangements by Fred Hunters Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024, US, on May 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Triumphant Church, 7000 Pembroke Rd, Miramar, FL 33023, US, on May 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens West, Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024, US, on May 2, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
