Nancy C. Ulmer Nichele

Nancy was born in West Palm Beach FL to Carl and Elaine Ulmer. She graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1973. She married the love of her life Dean Nichele and enjoyed traveling with him in their RV. She worked for the Broward County School District, in the Food Management Section. She served in various schools in the Northern part of the County, eventually rising to the position of Kitchen Manager. She loved all her Staff in the kitchens and genuinely loved the children she served. She retired in 2018. Nancy also volunteered at the Calvary Chapel Church in Ft. Lauderdale in the Children’s Ministry, teaching Sunday School.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Carl & Elaine Ulmer and most sadly by her husband Dean Nichele. She missed him so much.

Nancy is survived by her sister Cathy (James) Arthur, twin sister Tracy (Joe) Cahill and her brother Kenneth “Buster” (Phyllis) Ulmer. She also has three nieces Christina Ulmer, Debi Clark, and Ana DelRio and one nephew Jon DelRio.

The Family wishes to greatly thank two of Nancy’s dearest friends Debbie Suppa and Barbara Walker for being there for her and helping her on her final journey home. Our greatest thanks go to her cousin Paige Griffin, for her unbelievable support over the entire journey. We would like to thank the Staffs at Cleveland Clinic in Weston Fl and ATRIA Willow Woods assisted living facility in Ft Lauderdale and the Nurses at the VITAS Hospice Wing in Broward North Medical Center in Pompano Beach for their care and support during the hospice care period.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local school’s free lunch programs. Through out Nancy’s career she made sure that her school children did not go hungry at breakfast and lunch times. Continuing that legacy would be an honor to her.
