Nohemi Alvarez, 81 of Plantation, Florida passed away on September 17, 2021. Nohemi was a resident of South Florida for the past 26 years coming from Bogota, Colombia. She was a member of the Red Cross and an avid scrapbooker who enjoyed playing board games and reading on a variety of topics, from science to history and biography.
She is survived by her children; daughter, Diana Gutierrez, Son in Law, Jose Enrique Gutierrez, and Son in Law Dr. Richard Riley, her sisters; Isabel Leibowitz, Rosa Garcia, and Alicia Garcia, and her three grandchildren; Natalia Gutierrez, Andrea Gutierrez, and Sarah Riley.
Nohemi was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Alvarez, and her daughter, Esther Alvarez Riley.
