

Oliver "Ollie" Gladwell Stephens, 42, of Weston, Florida passed away on Sunday Morning at the University Of Miami Medical Center, following a courageous battle against a very rare cancer, Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH), and Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Born in Wales, United Kingdom on October 13, 1975, son of Michael and Margaret Stephens. Raised and educated in Wales, Ollie came to the United States and studied at Technical College of the Lowcountry (Beaufort, S.C.) for two years where he completed his Tennis Management degree, transferring to Mount Olive College, and graduating with honors in 1998.
Ollie was very passionate about tennis. He achieved the highest certifications as PTR Master of Tennis Development, PTR Master of Tennis Performance, and ITPA Master Tennis Performance Specialist. Achievements of a rare quality.
At the time of his passing, Ollie worked for Midtown Athletic Club in Weston, Florida, where he was the Velocity Development Program Director and Director of Performance off court training.
Ollie has lived all over the World to do what he loved the most, coach tennis. He has lived in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Portugal, Turkey and Spain. He was very passionate about tennis and wouldn't miss an opportunity to gain and share knowledge with fellow coaches and students.
In addition to his parents, Michael and Margaret Stephens, he is survived by his beloved wife, Milena Araujo Stephens, brother, Timothy (Kristy) Stephens, sister, Jessica Stephens, two nephews, Osian and Levi Stephens, Milena's parents, Mara and Moises Araujo, two sisters-in-law, Maristela Araujo Sykes and Mirella Araujo. Ollie also leaves behind many friends and colleagues, especially in the world of Tennis.
Ollie's strength over this last year was incredible. He and Milena together fought a very strong battle. May he Rest in Peace.
Visitation on Saturday, April 14th from 2:00 ~ 4:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters University Drive Home, 2401 South University Drive, Davie Florida. There will be a Service of Celebration beginning at 4:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
