Patrick was born in Limestone, Maine, to Jesse D. Pafford, Jr. and Jeane M. Smith on September 24, 1963. He graduated from Hollywood Hills High School in Hollywood, FL. Patrick was a proud bagger at Publix for more than ten years. He was known for his love of journaling and expressing himself through writing. He cared deeply for his community and could often be found riding his bike around Hollywood, collecting trash.
As a longtime member of Rebel’s Drop-In Center, Patrick made many friends and discovered his passion for art. He loved to DJ and enjoyed performing at many Rebel’s events. Patrick took great pride in serving as a volunteer Peer Counselor, always eager to support and encourage others.
Patrick was also a dedicated member of the Impact Team at Cooper City Church of God, where he helped in any way he could. He looked forward every year to the Channel 10 Big Bus Toy Express—not only to donate toys but also to spend time with the Channel 10 team. Patrick had a green thumb and cherished the time he spent in his backyard greenhouse. He was known for performing random acts of kindness, especially through sending greeting cards and letters to loved ones, and helping his neighbors. He was an all-around amazing man with a huge heart.
Patrick is preceded in death by his father, Jesse D. Pafford, Jr., his mother, Jeane M. Smith, and his brother, David W. Pafford.
Patrick is survived by his sister, Jeane M. Toueg, and brother-in-law, Rami J. Toueg; his nieces and nephews: Megan Beltran (Nef Beltran), Chris Toueg (Vanessa Busby), Tyler Toueg, and Rachael Toueg; and six great-nieces and nephews: Jackson, Nicoli, Maison, Nevaeh, Jameson, and Maddox. He is also survived by cousins Caron Wright, Darcy Wright, Amanda Wright, Carter Calixte, Clarke Hunt, and Michael Reed. Patrick was deeply loved by many.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024.
The family of Patrick wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Memorial Health Care System and the entire Care Team, Rebel’s Drop-In Center for years of friendship and support, and the Cooper City Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rebel’s Drop-In Center, located at 5595 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33328, and to the Channel 10 Big Bus Toy Express held on Friday, December 12, 2025.
