Ramón was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on November 5, 1929 the only child of Reina Tavarez.
Ramón was preceded in death by his mother, Reina Tavarez; his children, Manuel Tavarez and Maria Rosa Tavarez, and beloved in-laws Zacarías and Ana Julia Santana.
Ramón is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years Rosa Tavarez (Acevedo); four children Ramona Coleman, Milagros Tavarez, Daniel Tavarez, and Elizabeth Fonseco; 16 beautiful grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for “Amor” will be held at Fred Hunter Funeral Homes, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL 33024 on April 3, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the following charitable organization:
