She was born in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines on February 18, 1959, daughter of Antonio and Antonia Villafranca.
Before coming to the United States on June 11, 2011, Rebecca was married to Rolando for 21 years and raised her 4 children in the Philippines with God's grace, strength, and protection. She also led the building of a chapel in the Philippines called "Sto. Niño dela Virgen Presentacion". With her big heart to serve the Lord, she joined the church choir at St. Maurice at Dania Beach and became involved in the weekly prayer group.
In every workplace that she worked in, she showed an excellent work ethic and unquestionable loyalty, and formed formidable friendships.
Through life's ups and downs, she drew a lot of her strength from the Lord, who is her constant companion. She extended a lot of her love, kindness, gentleness, generosity, great joy, and faith in God towards her family, relatives, friends, and neighbors, who are eternally grateful for her presence in their lives. She had an infectious laugh and radiant smiling face that lights up every room that she walks into. Clearly, she was an example of Christ on earth.
Rebecca or Bex loved to sing Ten Guitars and Wind Beneath My Wings on the video karaoke machine, make people laugh, cook Filipino foods like Sinigang, Adobo, and Lumpia, eat lots of crab legs, eat at Teppanyaki buffet, do aerobics exercises, connect and make friends with people, walk in the park, go to the beach, and watch Eat Bulaga!
She will reunite with her youngest child, Angelo, in heaven with the Lord.
She is survived by her husband, Rolando, her 4 wonderful children, Abrahm and his wife, Keith, Angela, Angeli, and Angelu, as well as 2 grandchildren, Andrei and Agila.
Special thanks from Rebecca's family to Joshua, Shaul, and Hava of Exist, Inc. for covering the funeral costs.
