Robert Earl Nelson, age 79, of Ft. Lauderdale passed away on April 29, 2017. "Bob" was born January 25, 1938 and was raised in Chicago, IL. Bob moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1956. He served in the army from 1958 - 1961. He worked for Hollywood Lincoln Mercury for 30 years. Upon retirement, his hobbies included golf, painting, photography, gardening, crafts, watching movies, jazz music and riding his motorcycle. He was a good storyteller and made friends easily. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered by his laugh, his jokes, and his love for cookies.
He is survived by his three daughters: Linda McMillan (Michael) of Corpus Christi, TX, Lori Valdes of Orlando, FL, and Kathryn O'Dell (Weston) of Knoxville, TN; eight grandchildren: Lee, Ross, Tessa & Chloe McMillan, Luis & Amanda Valdes, Addison & Colette O'Dell.
His ashes are laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery in Palm Beach County, FL.
