Robert Ernest Van Landingham of Plantation passed away May 21, 2013 following a three-year illness. During his professional career as an accountant and auditor he worked in Freeport, Grand Bahamas, Saudi Arabia and the US. He served in the US Navy and loved his country. He was an avid diver and loved nature, photography and softball. He was inducted into the Florida Half Century Hall of Fame in 2008 after many years of senior softball. He was the devoted husband of Libby Downing and Sarah Killian (deceased 2003), loving father of Kris, special brother of Bill and wife Gwen, Gary and wife Tee, sister Sue and dear uncle of Louis, Angie, Jeff and Susie.
Friends will be received on Sunday June 2, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie. In his memory donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy Nature.org to support their efforts in the Bahamas.
