Ronald Gerard Patrice was the third child born from the union of Gerard and Marcelle Patrice (both deceased) on October 7,1952 in Port au Prince Haiti (W.l). He was affectionally known as Nali. He did his primary and part of his secondary school with the catholic brothers in Haiti. He migrated very young at the age of 16 to the United States of America.
He terminated his high school at Boys High School and John Adams High School in Queens, New York. He received his bachelor degree in 1974 at Brooklyn College and the following year his Master Degree in Economics and Accounting at St John University in Queens, New York. He worked as a math teacher for a year then moved on working in a different firm as an accountant. Then in 1983, he moved back to Haiti and had worked in many enterprises. To name a few, Acra Enterprises, Xerox Company and Citibank. He was forced to return to the USA in 1992 due to political instability.
Ronald was a CPA and Enrolled Agent who founded his own firm "Patrice and Associates, Inc, DBA Quality Tax Center" in 2003. Lately he was working with his wife doing various accounting work and payroll services.
Ronald and Huguette joined hands in the Holy Matrimony on August 17, 1974 in St-Charles Garnier Catholic Church in Montreal, Canada. Their union produced two beautiful children, Stella and Katia. Stella is a real estate agent and has a lovely daughter, Sasha, whom Ronald considered like his own daughter. Katia was a lead dental assistant for years until she moved to Bosnia with her husband, Alija in 2023.
Ronald was a very social man who loved to entertain family and friends. He enjoyed nature and loved the ocean, boating and swimming. He was a well disciplined man, very compassionate, a great advisor, a true leader of the family. We cannot forget to mention he was the person who started events like family reunions, boat rides, and various arrangements for the family. Ronald was loved by all his family and many friends, too many to mention all of them.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Huguette, his daughters, Stella and Katia, his granddaughter, Sasha, his siblings, Claudie and families, Geoffroy and families, Ralph and families, Lloyd and families, Maggie and families, Robert and families, Ingrid and families, Reginald and families, Jerry and families, Gerard JR, aka Dadou and families, all of his cousins and a host of dear friends.
Death as we are witnessing it today is not an end as unfortunately many still think. It is like a veil that passes in front of the righteous man to transport him to the hands of his Creator, his God who created him. Let us remember the word of Jesus to Mary, the sister of his friend, Lazarus, who had just died:
"I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in me, though he died, yet shall live and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die"
Brother, R.I.P....
