

Rose Jackson was born Rosemond Ermille Deeble in Ellen Street, Manchester, Jamaica to Samuel Deeble and Hyacinth Francis on June 23, 1922. She married Rudolph Jackson on August 28, 1949 in Kingston, Jamaica. She worked as a housekeeper and homemaker for most of her life. She was actively involved as a member of the Jamaican Evangelistic Center, Parkway Baptist Church and New Life Worship Center. She received an award from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority .
Rose Jackson is preceded in death by both of her parents; her sister, Cynthia Reid; her husband, Rudolph Jackson; her aunt, Millicent Woodhouse; and her eldest son, Earl July.
Rose Jackson is survived by her children: Valetta Levy, Melford Jackson, Hyacinth Jackson-Beckford, Gloria Brown, Monica Jackson-Walcott and her husband James Walcott, Theresa Bishop and her husband Telbert Bishop, Conrad Jackson and his wife Carol Jackson, Marva Harriott, Dennis Jackson and his wife Seion Scott-Jackson, and Mervis Jackson-Moodie and her husband Augustus Moodie; her brother, Stanley Deeble; her grandchildren: Eaton July, Dayne July, Latoya July, Sean Marson, Kirk Marson, Sophia Marson, Maxine Jackson, Ian Jackson, Marlon Jackson, Peter Rankine, Richard Rankine, Andre Beckford, Angela Beckford, Moneefah Jackson, Juliet Beckford, Charmaine Brown, Delroy Brown, Paul Brown, David Brown, DeAndre Campbell, Felisha Bishop, Cornelia Bishop, Miguel Bishop, Marlene Bishop, Nicole Jackson, Kayon Harriott, Catherine DeGannes, Damion Jackson, Soyeni McKenzie, Din-Camara Moodie and Courtnie Moodie; and a plethora of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
Her visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home in Hollywood, Florida at 6 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Miramar, Florida with the Reverend Dr. Wendell DeHaney of New Life Worship Center, officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens North. Arrangements are by Fred Hunter's Funeral Home.
