It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Sandra Christine Kane on March 4, 2025. Known to most as Sandy she was a loving mother, cherished Yiayia, and a devoted friend to all who knew her.
Born on November 11, 1953, in Newport, RI, Sandy lived a life full of adventure, generosity, and dedication to her children.
A graduate of Rogers High School, class of 1972. Newport deeply shaped who she became. She spent countless summers there, visiting family and lovingly caring for the home that held a special place in her heart.
She entered her career as she was raised, on the water. She spent 10+ years in yachting on boats while traveling the world. Once she was back on land, she ran a successful catering company. A savvy businesswomen, she wasn’t afraid to stand her ground and demand respect. She loved to thrive in the chaos and worked very hard. Her clients loved her never ending energy, and attention to detail.
As a mother, she was the heart of our family—always ready for a good time, a listening ear, and a sense of humor that could make you laugh on the darkest of days. Her love knew no bounds, and she nurtured us with her unwavering strength and always taught us to give whenever you can.
Sandy was a woman of great compassion, always putting others before herself. She had a remarkable ability to make each person feel special, seen, and heard. Her home was an oasis, a welcome space that drew people in.
As a grandmother, she loved to create lasting memories with Kane and make him laugh, kept him well dressed and showed him unconditional love.
Sandy is survived by her daughter Chanelle Kane McClure (Kylie) of Columbus, OH and Damien Kane Coulon of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her grandson Kane James McClure; her sister Elaine Kane (Pete) of Dania Beach, FL and father of her children Remi Coulon of Pompano, FL and all of whom will miss her more than words can express. She was preceded in death by her father Andrew Joseph Kane III, mother Adele G. Kiki Spiratos Kane, and aunt Mary Helene Kane.
A public celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
We find comfort in knowing that her love will continue to guide us, and we take solace in the beautiful memories we shared with her.
May her memory be eternal!
