Sonny’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at Fred Hunter’s. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Pundit Bimal Maharaj will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service at 12:00 pm.
Sonny was born in El Dorado, Trinidad on January 29th, 1940.
Sonny was married to Cynthia on April 21st, 1963; they were married for 58 years.
Sonny enjoyed travelling, spending time with family and friends, playing all-fours, cricket and pool, and going to Caura river. He always immersed himself in religion and loved going to temple, pooja and satsang whenever he had the opportunity.
Sonny is survived by his wife Cynthia, children Anthony (Shammi), Charmaine (Suzie) and Sharon (Cherry), sons-in-law Wendell and Farook, daughter-in-law Kamla, granddaughters Shalini, Amrita and Ananda, sister Jane, nephews David and Krishna, niece Lisa, brother-in-law Calvin, sisters-in-law Merle and Dolly, and many other family and friends.
Sonny is preceded in death by his parents Soogrim and Rajbassea, brother Mahabal, and brother-in-law Dickey.
