Suzette Abigail Dycus, cherished daughter, sister, aunt and beloved friend passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016. Suzette was born in Brockton, Massachusetts and raised in Virginia and South Florida.
Suzette was a loving and caring individual with a heart of gold. She had strong spiritual connection to God. She practiced prayer and was committed to uplifting others through positive affirmations. She stood up against injustices, especially those against the downtrodden. Whenever someone spoke of Suzette, the words "loving heart" were always the common theme.
Suzette loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a great lover of music and an avid concert goer. Suzette was an amazing chef. One can attribute that to the fact that she wanted everyone to enjoy the pleasures of life. She wanted to make certain everyone was happy and full of joy. Whether it be a fine meal, a word of encouragement, or an uplifting thought, one never left Sue without food for the body and the soul.
For the past eight years, Suzette was the caregiver to her elderly father. That bond will forever impress upon us what is important in life.
Having been raised a true-blue Chicago Cubs fan, Suzette was able to experience the Cubs win the World Series in 2016 after 108 years.
Visitation will be at Fred Hunter Funeral Home at 10am -11am on Monday, December 19, followed by Mass at Noon at Saint David Catholic Church at 3900 S University Drive, Davie, FL.
