In 1947 he and his family moved to Ft. Lauderdale. There Tom became a trusted and reliable architect and builder, from which he retired at age 70. Tom enjoyed flying his plane, and sailing his beloved ARAWAK (most recently on Mother's Day). Another passion was building historically-accurate ship models, for which his skill and attention to detail was much admired and greatly respected.
Mourning his passing are his wife, Evelyn ( Fischer); daughters, Maria-Elena and Veronica Kadala; grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Christa; sister-in-law, Christine (Fischer) McMillan; and "first mate", Herb Hausmann.
A memorial service will be held on May 24th, from 10-11AM, at Fred Hunter's (718 South Federal Highway), followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Tom would be most honored by your donation to a charity of your choosing.
