Vikramaditya Budhai

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on April 29th at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home.  Pandit Ricky Budhai will be officiating under Arya Samaj rites. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on April 28th at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral at Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter Hollywood Funeral Home.  

Vik was born in Guyana, South America on August 30, 1965. He graduated from Newtown High School and enlisted with the Navy soon after graduation. He was later honorably discharged due to a knee injury.

Vik was married to Kamla Devi Budhai (Nero) on September 4th1991.  They have two beautiful children Ajay, 22 and Shivanie, 13. Vik and Nero separated on February 16th 2016 after 25 years of marriage.  

Vik worked as a Nursing Assistant for a children’s hospital for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, and singing. He was actively involved with the Florida Sangeet Mandalay as the Bass Player from 1992 to 1999, he also played the Dholak and provided Technical Support. He even dabbled in singing.  

Vik is survived by his wife Nero, children Ajay and Shivanie, mother Linda, sisters Seeta, Veeta and Neeta, nieces Chloe, Serena and Nikita, nephews Videsh, Divesh, Josh, Avinash and Nicholas, brothers-in-laws David, John and Joshua.

Vik is preceded in death by his father Harriram.
