With heavy hearts we announce the passing of W. Josephine Davis, aka “GRANNY”, on February 5th, 2026. Josephine, age 95, of Pembroke Pines, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, known for her kindness and always trying to live by the golden rule. She leaves behind her children; daughter Charline; son Ed (Janet), grandchildren Michael, Michelle Gagliano (Mike), and great grandchildren, Emily, Joey, Thomas, and Brighton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her sister Eleanor, and brothers James, Herbert, and Lamar. She passed away at home surrounded by family.
Josephine was born in Bessemer Alabama. She and Charles moved to Miami in 1951. She enjoyed traveling, shelling on the beach, and going to their 2nd home in Key Largo for sun and boating with Charles, family, and friends. But most of all she LOVED being a grandmother and great grandmother, spending as much time as she could with each of them. She always referred to all of them as her “Angels”.
Her service will be held at Fred Hunters Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024 on Thursday, February 12th, 2026 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm, with Funeral Service to follow at same location from 4:30-6:00pm, then immediately following a reception at their Community Center on same site.
