August 16, 1947 – April 15, 2026
William “Bill” Cundiff, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 78.
Bill was a hardworking, generous, and kind man who will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him. He had a way of making people laugh, lifting spirits, and making everyone feel welcome.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army for three years under the United States Army Control Group. As part of the U.S. Army Reserve Control Group, a component of the Individual Ready Reserve, Bill remained among trained soldiers subject to mobilization during national emergencies. His honorable service was recognized through several decorations, awards, medals, and commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Four Army Overseas Service Bars, U.S. Army Sharpshooter Marksmanship distinction, United States Army M-14 Distinguished Shot Sharpshooter, and United States Army M-16 Distinguished Rifle Shot Sharpshooter.
Following his military service, Bill dedicated his entire working life to a career in the elevator industry, where he took pride in his work and built a reputation for dedication, reliability, and strong character. Outside of work, he enjoyed caring for his yard and home, always taking pride in keeping things just right.
His true passion, however, was fishing. Whether saltwater or freshwater, Bill was happiest on the water, especially when he was fishing with his children. Those moments created lasting memories that his family will carry with them always.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Paula Cundiff; his four children, Lisa Albritton, Matthew Cundiff, Donnie Cundiff, and Brittany Yaccarino; and his youngest brother, Jim Cundiff. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill’s life was one of service, hard work, love, laughter, and devotion to family. His kindness, humor, generous spirit, and proud legacy of service will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Church Of Coral Springs, 8650 W Sample Rd, Coral Springs, FL 33065, US, on May 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm, followed by Military Honors from 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm, and a Reception from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the same location.
