Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, Missouri. Burial will follow in Summit Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17 at the funeral home.
He was born to Claude and Gladys Moore Kirk on August 13, 1952 in Russell, Kansas.
He leaves behind his wife, Patricia R. Kirk; daughter, Laura (John) Hawkins; son, William (Mandy) Kirk; step-children, Jamey, Matthew(Danielle) and Rebecca Peters and Rachel (Richard) Jones and many beloved grandchildren.
He was first married to Shirley Summers, then to Patricia A. Kirk in which he adopted her four children, Steven, Jeffrey, Michelle and Joseph.
He was employed with the Department of Corrections until his retirement in 2011.
He had a vivacious personality and was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed.
