

He was born June 23, 1941, in Mokane, MO, son of the late Jimmy Varnadore and Pauline (Love) Varnadore Turner.
He was married to Elaine Dickson on October 19, 1962,
Robert was a commercial fisherman on the Missouri River and had a fish market in Mokane, MO. He made his own nets for fishing. He was also a professional trapper. He worked for Corp of Engineers and the MKT Railroad. Many people knew his as Robert Earl and was affectionately called "river rat" or "ole man river." In his later years he enjoyed rod n reel fishing, squirrel hunting and checking on the farm. Robert definitely had a green thumb when it came to working in his garden each year.
He was a member of Barkersville Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a member of the Missouri Trappers Association.
Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elaine; one son Tracy of Holts Summit, MO; two sisters Mary Ann Glover of Fulton, MO; Linda (Lynn) Farley of Steedman, MO and three brothers Jack Turner of Portland, MO; Dale Turner of Fulton, MO and James Richburg of Hurley, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit, MO on Tuesday June 2 from 10:00-11:00 with funeral following at 11:00. Burial will be at Link Cemetery in Wainwright, MO.
