

Beloved Wife and Mother, Barbara M.{Queripel} Picard was born on January 10, 1932 passed away peacefully on January 13, 2014 at the age of 82. Barbara was born in New Bedford Massachusetts, she married twice and had eight children. She was preceded in death by her husband Armand Belanger, her husband Albert A. Picard and her son Peter. She is survived by her sisters: Beryl Gauthier, Gloria Baker and Judy Cuoto; her children: Jacqueline Savage-Picard, Ronda Wohlgemuth, Aldege Picard, Lucienne Havey, Cindy Nelson, Armand Belanger, and Bonnie Belanger, 23 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
Barbara moved with Albert and their family to Portsmouth, Rhode Island in the late 1960s. There, they owned and operated a Colonial Bake Shop it was their family run business. They attended Saint Barnabas Church and were active members of the local Lion and Rotary clubs.
In 1979 Barbara and Albert moved to Miami. Barbara retired in the middle of the 1980s as a Retail Manager for the K-Mart Corporation. During her retirement she enjoyed trips to Sanibel Island with her sisters or anyone who would accompany her. She also enjoyed and looked forward to her twice a week games of BINGO at the Homestead Community Center. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed spending her days working on puzzles.
Her cremation was held on January 27, 2014 at 8:00 am. Her ashes will be scattered in Fort Phoenix in New Bedford, MA at a later date in the year.
There will be no mass, but there is a memorial service scheduled for January 28, 2014 starting at 6:00pm at: Branam Funeral Home and Crematorium on 8th Street/Campbell Drive and SW 177th Ave/Krome Ave in Homestead, Florida.
