Will was born in St. Catherine’s Canada and moved multiple times choosing Homestead as his home.
Will was: a loving husband to Lou, great father to Adam, Alex, Irene, and Andrew, brother to Geri Laughlen, Bobbi Martin, and Francine Sider, business owner of Rainbow Connection, Rainbow Waterbeds, and The Right Filter Company, and friend to many people.
Boy Scouts were a big part of his life. He was a Cub Master and an assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 69. Will was the father of 3 Eagle Scouts.
He was active in a number of local churches including Redlands Community Church, Pinelands Presbyterian Church, and City Church.
Will touched many lives with his generous spirit. He was easy to talk to and saw the good in others. His long standing friendships are a testimony to the really great guy he was. He was most importantly a devoted family man.
Will passed peacefully at home after a short five month battle with cancer. Early in the diagnosis, Will stated that “If I beat cancer, I win. If I don’t beat cancer, I still win.” I imagine when he met Our Lord, and Jesus asked, “So Will, how are you doing?”… He’d respond, “Oh, I’m puttin along!”
Donations in memory of Will can be made to Boy Scout Troop 69 in care of Kim Kivi, 9520 Jamaica Drive, Cutler Bay, Fl 33189
