Baker L. Sumner Jr. age 70 of Vestavia Hills passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013. Retired with 34 year of service from Birmingham Steel Corp. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Baker Sumner Sr. and his daughter Sheila Sumner. Baker was survived by his wife Sharon Sumner, daughter Kelley White (Stuart) and Jennifer McKee (Lee), his sister Elaine Cushman (Bob) and a brother Bill Sumner (Donna), and 6 grandchildren. There will be a private family gathering at a later date. The family suggest that donations be made to Saint Vincent Bruno Cancer Center.
