Barbara Alline Blake Thornton was born August 5, 1933 and passed away into her NEW life on August 17, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Roland Blake, her son Thomas Joseph Thornton, Jr., and her daughter Terry Thornton Stanphill. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Joseph Thornton, Sr., 4 daughters: Susan Thornton, Linda Thornton Watson (Jim), Patty Thornton, Dottie Thornton and daughter in law Sarah Hillhouse Thornton. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Kate Watson Roy (Mike), Maggie Watson Fisher (Reid), Andrew Watson, Quinn Stanphill, Caroline Stanphill Arrington (Zach), Barbara Thornton and Jane Thornton, and her precious great grandchildren Patrick and Grace Roy and unborn Baby Fisher.
Do to Covid-19 a private funeral mass with just immediate family will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church. Memorials may be made to Camp Smile-A-Mile, 1600 2nd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233
