What a life! Our once-in-a-Universe Mama has left to find a new place in the sun. She broke the mold in every way possible wearing white linen with her beloved Jim by her side all the while. She ironed clothes in the front yard, brought home strangers, kissed all the babies, "cased the joint" of every thrift store hunting Italian leather and big time fashion. She was a fierce warrior for every underdog. While teaching special education, she returned to school in her 40's and 50's earning her MA and EdD. She adored being called "Dr". Part of her is with us still: her husband of 66 years, Jim, daughters Allison, Lou, Lilla (Jeff), son Jay (Kim), 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and her brother, Cliff. No doubt she is laughing with her twin brother, Boo, now. We will wear white, laugh and tell stories graveside at Elmwood on Friday the 2nd at 3:00. In lieu of flowers be bold and live large. Lord knows she did!
