I just want to personally thank everyone who blessed his life. Anyone who blessed our family in any way, thank you. My heart is still so very heavy. I miss my Paw Paw every single day. My heart is at peace knowing he is in the best place. I thank God for sharing his angel with me for 23 great years. I pray that you all have love like the love he and I share.

Amy, Laura, Stephen, Ally, & Doug. I was so saddened to hear that my uncle Butch has passed away. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. He will always live in our hearts and we will cherish the memories of him forever. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I love you and I am praying for you all.

A true gentle man with profound faith and great love for his family and friends .Miss him yes but take comfort in knowing he is now in the hands of God .

Alexandra, Doug, Laura, and Amy, life unfortunately gives us trying times such as these. But, God and God alone, is able to hold us up, keep us from falling. All we must simply do is trust in Him and put everlasting faith in Him and believe that He will carry us through. I pray for continued strength for you all. I pray ahead for the holidays and birthdays without Paw Paw and for Alex, the Sundays in Walmart where you'll be shopping alone-- those are the days you will need strength the most. God makes no mistakes. He blessed Paw Paw with 65 good years rather than 66 for a reason. I pray you find a smile, somewhere, in knowing that he was blessed with a life of good times, good family and friends, and overall happiness. None of us know the day nor the hour God will call us home, but we must somehow be ready. Paw Paw, I believe was ready. The last time I saw Paw Paw, he was unfortunately in the hospital. But, he seemed to be at a peace with his fading health. Paw Paw is now a sweet, beautiful memory that you will carry with you day to day. Rejoice in knowing that he is with our maker and believe that you will one day see him again in Heaven. To the family: I am saddened by your loss, but happy in knowing Paw Paw no longer has to suffer from day to day. To Alex: we've had our fair share of ups and downs together, but I love you and I shall love you until the sunset of my own life. You were a blessing to your Paw Paw and I know he is resting happily knowing his last days were spent with you taking care of him. May Paw Paw rest is perfect peace.... It's not a goodbye; it's a see ya later, Paw Paw.

Alexandra, Doug, Laura, and Amy, Life unfortunately gives us trying times such as these. The journey without Paw Paw may get more difficult as time goes on; I am here for any of you whenever you may need me. And to Alex: Through our own ups and downs, I will love you until the sunset of my own life.

He will be missed by all who knew him, but we have so many wonderful memories of him that we all will be comforted by those memories. Gods peace and comfort rest upon your family is my prayer.
