

She lived her life to the fullest! Catharine, aka Nana, had a unique gift of making others feel special, uplifted and loved. All who knew her loved her in return. Nana was an avid bridge player and a prolific reader. She was a sports fan and especially enjoyed the Atlanta Braves baseball and Ole Miss football. She was a world traveler, always ready for the next adventure. Nana was a fun-loving and energetic person who always enjoyed socializing with friends and family. She had a keen sense of fashion and style, keeping up with the latest trends throughout her life. She never left her house without her lipstick and a smile on her face! Nana’s unwavering faith was always central in her life. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church. Of all the things Nana loved in this life, her faith, family and friends were paramount. She is survived by her son, Cullie Davidson, Jr.; her grandchildren, Debbie Davidson Saeger (Paul), Lee Ann Davidson Brandon (Wes) and Danny Davidson (Caren); her great grandchildren, Shannon Saeger Glenn (Connor), Shelley Saeger Dykes (Clay), Myles Brandon (Elizabeth), Tyler Brandon and Ryan Brandon; her great great grandchildren, Eva Faith Dykes, Clayton Paul Dykes and Avery Skye Glenn. She was looking forward to the births of two more great great grandchildren in the coming months. She is also survived by her brother, Sam Naff and many nieces and nephews. Nana is enjoying a reunion in heaven with family and friends she has not seen in a long time, including her loving husband, Cullie Davidson, Sr., and her beloved daughter-in-law, Rebecca Lee Davidson. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17th from 10:00-11:00 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel 1800 Oxmoor Rd. Homewood, AL 35209. The service celebrating her well-lived life will begin at 11:00 following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
