Charles Robert Dean Jr.

Charles Robert Dean Jr. of Birmingham, AL died peacefully on March 20, 2015. He was born in Pontiac, MI, March 9, 1945. He graduated from St. Fredrick’s High School where he was an accomplished athlete. He was a graduate of Northwood Institute and upon graduation, he began a lengthy career as an automobile dealer in MI, FL and AL. He enjoyed many years of civic involvement namely President of local Rotary and Chamber of Commerce affiliates. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elsie, son Charles Robert III (Mary Beth), grandchildren Emily Elizabeth, Caroline Siler, Charles Robert “Rob” IV, brother Kellie (Marilyn), sister in-law Julie Dean, nieces Jennifer and Lauren, nephews Patrick and Christopher. He was predeceased by his parents Agatha and Charles, brother Michael and sister in law Barbara, in-laws Einar and Dorothy Loftness and Sharon Leclair. The family would like to thank Fairhaven Retirement Community and Care First Hospice for their loving care and dedication. Visitation will take place at Ridouts Valley Chapel (1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209) Monday, March 23rd at 5:30 pm with a scripture service at 7:00 pm.
