age 96 of Birmingham, AL, passed away on November 29, 2010. He was born May 7, 1914 in Louisville, KY to Charlotte and John Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Sallee Baker. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jo Anne and Vernon Skoog, MD; grandson Brian Skoog; son Dennis Baker; daughter and son-in-law Mary Charlotte and Norman Wheatley of Orlando, FL; son Kenneth Baker, Jr. of Louisville, KY; sister Elizabeth Swearingen of Louisville, KY; and niece Carol Osborne of Louisville, KY.
He was employed by GATX Corp. in their Chicago office and moved to Birmingham, AL in 1961. He retired in 1984 after 47 years of service.
The family will receive friends at Southern Heritage Funeral,in Pelham, AL on Friday, December 3 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00. Burial to follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
