Eleanor Moffatt Montgomery

Eleanor Moffatt Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 after a brief illness. She was a member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church. She also belonged to the Vestavia Country Club where she enjoyed golf and exercise for many years. She attended Ramsey High School. Mrs. Montgomery was preceded in death by her father, Louis Moffatt; her mother, Eunice Moffatt and her brother, Schubert Moffatt. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Edward Montgomery. Also left to treasure her memory, are her daughter, Patsy M. Thomas (Chuck) and her two sons, John R. Montgomery (Helen) and Louis E. Montgomery (Katherine). She will also missed by her grandchildren, John R. Montgomery(Krista), Jr., Rollins(Carrie) Montgomery, Pearson Montgomery, Bryan Reynolds, Greer Montgomery, Warren Montgomery and Lauren Reynolds; great grandchildren, John R. Montgomery, III, Maclaine Montgomery and Julianne Montgomery. A memorial service will be held at Mountain Brook Baptist Church on Friday, August, 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will follow the service. A private burial family burial will precede the memorial service. The services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel (879-3401) Homewood, Al.
